WEEK ONE

The word in the beginning

Genesis 1:1-3

Before there was light, there was the Word. In the opening verses of Genesis we meet Jesus – the divine Word through whom all things are made and by whom all things are being made new.

WEEK TWO

The IMAGE OF GOD

Genesis 1:26-31

We were created in the image of God, designed for fellowship with him. Jesus, the true image of God, gives us our worth. You matter not because of who you are, but whose you are.

WEEK THREE

The first promise of redemption

Genesis 3:1–24

Even in humanity’s darkest moment, God spoke hope. His promise of a coming Deliverer who would crush the serpent’s head is the first glimpse of the gospel – fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

WEEK FOUR

The ARK OF SALVATION

Genesis 6–9

In a world under judgement, God provided one way of rescue – an ark. Noah’s ark points to Christ, our refuge, who carries us safely through the storm of sin and judgement into new life.

WEEK FIVE

The FAITH OF ABRAHAM

Genesis 12:1–9 & 15:1–6

Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. Through Abraham’s faith, we see the heart of the Gospel – salvation not by works, but by trusting the promises of God fulfilled in Christ.

WEEK SIX

The COVENANT AND THE SACRIFICE

Genesis 15:7–21 & 17:1–14

When God made his covenant with Abraham, he alone passed through the sacrifice – showing that he would bear the cost of covenant faithfulness. On the cross, Jesus fulfilled that promise once for all.

WEEK SEVEN

The SON OF PROMISE

Genesis 18:1–15 & 21:1–7

Against all odds, God gave Abraham and Sarah a son. Isaac’s miraculous birth points to an even greater miracle – the birth of Jesus, the true Son of Promise through whom all nations are blessed.

WEEK EIGHT

The SACRIFICE OF ISAAC

Genesis 22:1–18

On Mount Moriah, Abraham’s faith was tested, and God provided a substitute in Isaac’s place. Centuries later, on that same mountain range, God provided his own Son – the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world.

WEEK NINE

The GATEWAY OF HEAVEN

Genesis 28:10–22

Jacob dreamed of a ladder reaching to heaven, connecting God and man. Jesus is that ladder – the bridge between heaven and earth – through whom we have direct access to the Father.

WEEK TEN

The SUFFERING SERVANT

Genesis 37–41

Joseph, the beloved son, was betrayed, sold. and humbled before being exalted to save many lives. His story foreshadows the greater Son, Jesus, who suffered and was exalted to bring salvation to the world.
